In-Store Purchases

Online Purchases

Except as otherwise noted in the chart below, merchandise purchased from Walmart Canada may be returned as described below within 90 days of an in-store purchase or, for online purchases, within 90 days of the date you receive your merchandise.

Within 90 Days

All store merchandise with the exception of the following:

Within 14 days

  • Computers, Laptops, Monitors
  • Printers
  • Camcorders, Digital cameras
  • Portable Video Players
  • GPS units
  • Wireless prepaid phones
  • Contract postpaid phones (as per carrier agreements)

Within 30 days

  • Televisions
  • DVD players/recorders
  • Home Audio Systems
  • Telephones
  • MP3 players
  • Airbeds
  • Tents
  • Pools
  • Air Conditioners
  • Outdoor power equipment
  • Prescription Eyewear

Within 1 year

  • Trees and shrubs (product must be returned to the store)

These items must be returned unopened before a refund or exchange can be processed.

  • Prerecorded music, movies, software products, computer/ video games, ink cartridges and boxes of disposable contact lenses

Sales of these items are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.

  • Gift cards, prepaid phone cards, pierced or personalized/engraved jewellery & underwear

Sales of these items are final and non-negotiable for regulatory compliance.

  • Ammunition and fireworks

Returns under Warranty

  • Within 2 years of purchase: GE small kitchen appliances: blenders, can openers, coffee makers, deep fryers, electric skillets, food processors, griddles, hot plates, indoor grills, irons, mixers, roaster ovens, slow cookers, toaster ovens, toasters, waffle irons, water kettles
  • Within 1 year of purchase: GE microwaves, water coolers or bar fridges, Panasonic microwaves

In-Store Purchases

Bring the item you wish to return along with all original accessories, packaging and your receipt to a store.

Online Purchases

Returning an item to a store:

1. Bring the item you wish to return along with all original accessories, packing material, and packing slip.

2. If you do not have the original packing slip, you will need to provide your name, email address, and/or order number, so the store can verify the order information with Customer Service.

Returning an item by mail:

Please contact Customer Service or by calling 1-800-328-0402.

Customer Service will initiate the return by creating a returns shipping label and emailing it to you.

You can then print out and affix the label to the box. Please pack your item carefully, along with all original packing materials, accessories, and the original packing slip.

Please note: Certain items will be eligible for a call tag, which means the carrier will come to your house to pick up the item.

If your item is eligible for a call-tag pickup, a Customer Service representative will email you contact information for a local carrier. It will be up to you to schedule a convenient pickup time with the carrier.

Once the item has been received back at Walmart, refunds will be issued to your original method of payment and will appear on your account within two billing cycles.
